D9 Individual Events AKA "The Thespy Festival"
This year's festival was held at Blake High School on October 21, 2023. Riverview High School, Troupe 5894, brought 36 students to compete in 23 events. 9 of our events received "Superior" scores--the highest level. And two of our events received Top Honors (best of the day): Sophia St. Jacques for her Set Design and Aaron Innerarity for his Solo Musical.
D9 One-Act Festival
Our District's One-Act Festival was held at USF on November 29-December 1 2023. This year there were 25 competing schools that each brought a One-Act play to stage in USF's Theatre 1. Our students had so much fun watching other schools and sharing in our appreciation for the arts. We chose to present a cutting of our fall play, Nothing is the End of the World (Except for the End of the World) by Bekah Brunstetter. The play was very well received from the student audience and we were given great feedback from the adjudicators. At the end of the Festival, our troupe garnered the following awards:

*As one of the 6 schools with this distinction, Riverview is honored to continue on to present our play at the State Thespian Festival in March.
